“Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy” – Unattributed Wise Man
One of the benefits of traveling is exploring new places, memorable experiences, friendly people and embracing different cultures. What better way to accomplish this than over a local beer at a local pub?
We at Ihiji are craft beer enthusiasts. So when we travel we like to try beers that the region has to offer in pubs that are unique to the area. We started these blog posts when CEDIA Expo was in Denver, continued it into ISE in Amsterdam and then Dallas for CEDIA recently (we can’t wait for San Diego in September). The great news is that there are always new breweries, restaurants and bars opening so we can keep the list fresh.
The great news is there are always new breweries, restaurants and bars opening so we can keep the list fresh. Here are three new pubs in Amsterdam to grab a great beer with your friends after you’ve stopped to say cheers to Ihiji at ISE (Stand 6-M170).
- Foeders– Opened just four weeks ago by a young beer enthusiast. The place has a friendly vibe with a good selection. It is also one of the only places in Amsterdam that you can find the highly prized sours by Tommie Sjef.
- Tripel – a great place to meet up outside of the tourist areas. The beer selection leans Belgian, which bodes well for some great finds.
- Cause Beer Loves Food – Another bar by the people that brought us Beer Temple, Arendsnest, etc. As the name suggests, there is more emphasis on the kitchen being paired with food.
Bonus – Here’s a great map showing all of our favorite beer spots in Amsterdam.
